
For a long time the main objection that print journalists have raised against online upstarts is a perceived lack of rigour, technique and journalistic scruple - skills which can only be acquired through long apprenticeship and experience. Burton and Greenstein's code, with admirable chutzpah, goes a step beyond with a series of ethical prescriptions that would put most British newspaper food writers out of business.
